He is a graduate of University of Athens Law School (Diploma, 1968) and of the University of Berlin (Dr. Jur., 1975).

He is a member of the Athens Bar Association (1971-) authorized to appear before the Athens and Piraeus Courts of Appeal and Supreme Court of Greece and a Professor of Commercial and Business Law - Athens University of Economics and Business Sciences.

Other memberships include, AIDA (International Association for Insurance Law): Member of the Presidential Council; AIDA, President of the Greek Section; Commité Maritime Internationale: former General Secretary of the Greek Section; Mediterranean Maritime Arbitration Association: former Chairman; former President of the Private Insurance Committee of the Greek Ministry of Trade; Chairman of Legislation and Drafting Committees for the Greek Commercial Code, Insurance Law, Patent Law; former Vice-chairman of the Hellenic Committee for Electronic Commerce, Director and/or Member of EU-funded projects awarded to the IKRP firm in Russia, Romania, FYROM, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia.

He has published numerous articles in Greek and foreign law reviews, notes on court decisions, monographs, books for students on insurance, maritime and other commercial law subjects.
